Conundrums and tantrums

Current situation: trying to break into a career in writing. Also current situation: has no professionally published writing.

Enter blogger, and a writing portfolio built from application essays and such.  It's not much, but it's a start.  I know I can write phenomenal pieces about anything and everything.  I'm confident in this.  I just need ONE somebody to give me the chance to prove it.

I've started a project for my friend Kendell and her business, Prestige Glam..  I'll be creating logos and other projects for her to help with marketing her brand.  I've only started the logos but I'm having so much fun.  I have so many ideas, I have already tried to get overwhelmed and throw a mini fit or shut down.  My brain is just going in a million different directions right now and I have to learn to pace myself. This is all new to me, but I just know I can be great at it if someone will give me a shot. Cue Hamilton's "My Shot" intro...

I also recently checked into being an independent travel agent.  I have followed a company, Vincent Vacations, on Facebook for a while now and they always have amazing trip packages.  I've followed as a consumer who's been aching to travel but always held back by time and money constraints.  While perusing a trip posted, a light bulb went off in my head.  How does one become a TRAVEL AGENT??!?!!? So I did some searching, and found an application for them. I love the idea of starting with an established company, especially one that's local to me!  They seem like an absolutely phenomenal company - so I took a chance and did an application.  I was expecting the "apply now" button to be some sort of "enter your email and we'll be in touch with a webinar link or some such".  It was an actual application, so I didn't feel I put forth my best effort.  I agonized about that for a couple of days, then decided to take another shot and reach out to the owner via her website and give some more info about myself.  It can't hurt, right?  Again..."I'm not throwing away my shot!" I had no idea I was so interested in that as a career, but I'm super excited about the possibility.  I'm waiting to hear back and see if my application is accepted, so fingers crossed! Check out their website regardless! https://www.vincentvacations.com/

The countdown is on - I should get my last paycheck at the end of July, if my calculations are correct.  It's terrifying.  Someone hire me!
